Resin bound involves mixing natural aggregates with clear resin before trowelling the combined material onto a prepared base. This creates a smooth, fully permeable surface where every stone is completely encapsulated. Resin bonded works differently,resin is applied to the ground first, then loose aggregate is scattered on top. Bonded surfaces are not permeable, feel rougher underfoot, and tend to shed stones over time. We only install resin bound at Delaney Tarmac because it's the superior system in terms of durability, drainage, and long-term appearance.

The UV-stable resin we use resists yellowing, and the kiln-dried aggregates maintain their colour throughout.
