Every block paving driveway gets a minimum 150mm compacted hardcore sub-base, screeded bedding sand, hand-laid blocks with hand-cut edge detail, and kiln-dried jointing sand brushed in. We re-sand the joints after the driveway settles. Cheap installs skip these steps and the driveway fails within 5 years.

Free Site Survey

Excavation & Sub-Base

Bedding Sand & Block Layout
Screeded coarse bedding sand on top of compacted sub-base. Blocks hand-laid in chosen pattern with hand-cut edges to fit the driveway shape. Feature bands and contrast borders set at this stage.
Compaction & Jointing
Whole driveway compacted with rubber-faced plate compactor to bed the blocks evenly. Kiln-dried jointing sand brushed across and worked into joints, then compacted again. Re-sanded after settling 2-4 weeks later.
Handover & Care Guidance
We walk you through the finished driveway and provide care guidance, occasional jet wash, joint re-sanding every 2-3 years. All waste cleared, property left spotless.
