Daltex Silver
Cool grey aggregate with white flecks. Pairs with charcoal block borders for a contemporary look.
Premium resin bound driveways across Mount Merrion, from the established 1950s-1960s family homes along Foster Avenue, Trees Road and Wilson Road to the larger detached properties on the avenues running up toward the N11.

Every resin driveway is mixed to order from a Daltex aggregate of your choice. Below are the six finishes we install most often, plus the full Daltex colour range. Decorative borders, banding and inlays can be added in any contrasting colour.

Cool grey aggregate with white flecks. Pairs with charcoal block borders for a contemporary look.

Warm grey with golden hints. Our most-requested all-rounder, suits both modern and period homes.

Soft golden buff aggregate. Brightens shaded driveways and complements red-brick frontages.

Rich terracotta tone. Strong kerb appeal against stone or render façades.

Pale cream aggregate. Reflects light, makes smaller driveways feel larger.

Decorative borders and inlays — diamond, banding or compass features in a contrasting Daltex colour.

Mount Merrion is an established affluent south Dublin suburb with substantial 1950s-1960s family homes on generous tree-lined plots along Foster Avenue, Trees Road, Wilson Road and North Avenue. Most properties have original tarmac drives now reaching end of life, making resin bound a popular full-refresh option. Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council handles all planning.
Mount Merrion is one of the most settled affluent suburbs in south Dublin, with substantial 1950s-1960s family homes set on generous tree-lined plots along Foster Avenue, Trees Road, Wilson Road, North Avenue and the streets running up toward the N11. Many of these properties still have their original tarmac drives, now reaching the end of their useful life. Resin bound driveways are an excellent fit here: the seamless natural-stone finish lifts kerb appeal substantially over tired tarmac, and the maintenance load is essentially zero.
Resin bound paving is laid as a 15-18mm wear course of clear UV-stable resin and graded natural stone aggregate, troweled hot onto a properly prepared tarmac or concrete base. The finish is fully permeable, SuDS-compliant, free of loose stones, and stays UV-stable for 15-25 years.
For Mount Merrion we typically specify warm gold and mocha aggregates that complement the established planting and red-brick stonework common across the area. Daltex Mocha, Bowland golden and Autumn Quartz mixes work especially well alongside mature trees and traditional brick fronts. For more contemporary refurbishments we move toward silver-grey and charcoal blends.
Being based in Kildare with daily Dublin work, Mount Merrion is a 35-minute run via the M50. We have laid resin driveways across the area for years. Most jobs start within two to three weeks of the signed quote.
A near-universal Mount Merrion detail is the existing surface. The original 1950s-1960s tarmac drives are typically too cracked, settled or wrong-falls to take resin directly. We almost always lay a fresh tarmacadam base first on Mount Merrion work, which adds two to three days but transforms long-term durability and guarantees the resin finish for the full design life.
Mount Merrion resin work often coordinates with wider hardscape: granite or limestone setts cut into resin as borders, contrasting darker bands marking parking bays, integrated lighting strips, granite step features at the front door, and clean transitions into porcelain or stone paths. Every Mount Merrion resin driveway is delivered as a coordinated kerb appeal refresh.
