Daltex Silver
Cool grey aggregate with white flecks. Pairs with charcoal block borders for a contemporary look.
Premium resin bound driveways across Blackrock, from the Edwardian and Victorian period properties along Idrone Terrace and the seafront roads to the modern apartment estates around Carysfort, Newtownpark and Blackrock village.

Every resin driveway is mixed to order from a Daltex aggregate of your choice. Below are the six finishes we install most often, plus the full Daltex colour range. Decorative borders, banding and inlays can be added in any contrasting colour.

Cool grey aggregate with white flecks. Pairs with charcoal block borders for a contemporary look.

Warm grey with golden hints. Our most-requested all-rounder, suits both modern and period homes.

Soft golden buff aggregate. Brightens shaded driveways and complements red-brick frontages.

Rich terracotta tone. Strong kerb appeal against stone or render façades.

Pale cream aggregate. Reflects light, makes smaller driveways feel larger.

Decorative borders and inlays — diamond, banding or compass features in a contrasting Daltex colour.

Blackrock is a varied south Dublin suburb running from period red-brick terraces along Idrone Terrace and the seafront, through 1960s-70s detached homes along Mount Merrion Avenue and Newtownpark Avenue, to newer apartment and townhouse estates around Carysfort and Blackrock village. Coastal-adjacent properties benefit from resin bound's salt-air resistance over block paving. Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council handles all planning.
Blackrock has one of the most varied residential profiles in south Dublin. Period red-brick terraces along Idrone Terrace and the seafront roads, mature 1960s-70s detached homes along Mount Merrion Avenue, Newtownpark Avenue and the streets running up toward the M50, and newer apartment and townhouse estates around Carysfort and Blackrock village. Resin bound driveways are an excellent fit across this whole mix: the seamless natural stone finish complements both period stonework and modern architecture, and the permeable surface handles Dublin coastal weather without the surface water issues older driveways suffer.
Resin bound paving is laid as a 15-18mm wear course of clear UV-stable resin and graded natural stone aggregate, troweled hot onto a properly prepared tarmac or concrete base. The finish is fully permeable and SuDS-compliant, contains no loose stones, and stays UV-stable for decades. For Blackrock seafront-adjacent properties the salt-air resistance of resin is a real advantage over block paving, which can suffer efflorescence in coastal conditions.
For Blackrock we typically specify warm-tone aggregates that complement red-brick and granite stonework on period properties. Daltex Mocha, Bowland golden and Autumn Quartz mixes work especially well alongside the existing brick and stone of Idrone Terrace and the older streets. For contemporary apartment-area work we move toward cooler grey and charcoal blends.
Being based in Kildare with daily Dublin work, Blackrock is a 40-minute run via the M50. We have laid resin driveways across the area for years. Most resin jobs in Blackrock start within two to three weeks of the signed quote.
On Blackrock period-property work the substrate question is often the deciding factor. Original tarmac driveways laid 30-40 years ago are usually too cracked and settled to take resin directly, so we lay a fresh tarmacadam base first. On the newer estate work the existing concrete or tarmac is usually sound enough to take resin direct. Either way, base assessment happens during the on-site survey before we quote.
Blackrock resin work often coordinates with wider design detail. Granite or limestone setts cut into the resin as a contrast border between the path and the parking bay, a darker aggregate band marking the entrance, integrated lighting strips, and clean transitions into porcelain or stone paths leading to the front door. Every Blackrock resin driveway is delivered with the design detail the area expects.
"Can't fault Paul and his crew. Professional service from start to finish on all my projects. We build houses all across Leinster and won't use another crew for tarmac and landscaping."
