The materials behind every Delaney driveway and patio. We use Irish-made and premium imported products, sourced direct from the manufacturers and suppliers we have worked with for decades.
Materials are half the job.
The other half is workmanship. But premium workmanship laid on cheap materials still fails. We source everything from the suppliers below because their products hold up in Irish weather, hold their colour for decades, and let us deliver finishes that last 20+ years rather than 5.
No imported budget block paving. No unwashed resin aggregates. No dry-brush jointing sand. We pay more for materials, and you pay less in repairs over the next two decades.
Kilsaran
Irish-owned and Irish-manufactured. Kilsaran is one of the largest block paving and concrete product manufacturers in Ireland, with a full range of decorative and standard block paving, kerbstones, walling, and bagged mortars and concretes.
Why we use them
Long colour life, dimensional accuracy, full pattern range, reliable supply with short delivery runs to our Kildare yard. Cheaper imported blocks have shorter colour life and less consistent dimensions which shows up in the finished joint detail.
Tobermore
Northern Ireland family-owned manufacturer of premium block paving, kerbstones and walling. Particularly strong on contemporary linear-plank ranges, granite-effect blocks and large-format paving.
Why we use them
Industry-leading colour stability, dense block construction with high abrasion resistance, full range from traditional rumbled to contemporary clean-cut. The range we recommend most often when a customer wants a premium contemporary aesthetic.
Roadstone
CRH-owned, one of the largest tarmac and aggregate suppliers in Ireland. Hot SMA tarmac, binder course, wearing course, washed gravels and crushed-stone hardcore for sub-base.
Why we use them
High-grade SMA (Stone Mastic Asphalt) tarmac which is denser and more durable than standard hot-rolled asphalt. Reliable hot delivery to site at the correct temperature, which is critical for proper compaction and finish.
Daltex
UK-based supplier of premium graded natural-stone aggregates for resin bound paving. Daltex Mocha, Bowland golden, Autumn Quartz and Silver Moon are the most-specified blends across Ireland.
Why we use them
Properly graded, washed and kiln-dried natural-stone aggregates that bond cleanly with UV-stable resin. Cheaper unwashed aggregates produce a patchy, dust-coated finish that shows visible imperfections inside 12 months.
Marshalls
UK-based premium hardscape manufacturer. Full range of 20mm dense-vitrified porcelain paving, natural stone (Indian sandstone, Yorkshire stone, granite), and walling. The benchmark for high-end residential patio specification.
Why we use them
Industry-leading porcelain quality and colour range, including stone-effect porcelain that mimics limestone and sandstone closely while delivering zero-maintenance durability. The supplier we recommend most for premium Dublin and Wicklow patios.
Larsen
Specialist supplier of jointing mortars, adhesives and cement-based bedding products for hardscape work. Flexible jointing compounds for porcelain, traditional sand-and-cement mortars for natural stone.
Why we use them
The right jointing compound is the difference between a patio that stays weather-tight for 25 years and one that fails at the joints in 5. Larsen flexible compounds handle Irish freeze-thaw cycles without cracking or de-bonding from the slab edges.
